For example, I'm right on the border of "good" and "excellent" and have NEVER missed a payment, NEVER been late, and am very diligent about my finances, keeping my credit utilization very low.

What I did was i consulted with an an attorney and cross border account so as to make sure I was compliant with the IRS and best way to structure my business for tax implications for myself and for the investors that work with us.

I live in Enfield near the MASS border.

There are parts of this are that come close to bordering Buckhead and Ga Tech that are super nice but some parts that I have driven through are pretty sketchy.

Since it has been over 20 years and inestate, my guess would be that you are bordering on transfer to the state by escheat.
