VRBO is completely uncooperative in this.I am contemplating just turning each of these over to an attorney, sue for the chargeback plus legal fees, and let it go.

I also manage hundreds of residential and commercial properties outside of STRs so I actually understand how seller friendly these platforms are compared to the legal and government system outside of STR world need to deal with.

If they approve it, you can do it.

Plus, letting a unit sit vacant for 6 months without approving needed maintenance is totally Irresponsible on your behalf.I’m glad we gave you a 30 day notice and would do so in a heart beat again to any other landlord with a similar mindset to yours.Much success 

Or you can try and lease option it, but be sure to mentor your tenant all the way to get pre-approved, otherwise you have an 80% chnace they won't be able to buy it.
