Unless you're direct to a seller, you'll often find yourself with tight margins which equates to losing in the end.Here in Texas, I’ve gone through hundreds of deals this year and maybe half a dozen deals were worth the investment.

If you convert the garage, you lose that as an asset to the home and a future home buyer.

Bad location= lose money and sell at a loss after a few years of frustration.  

Given these factors, is it worth losing some cash flow by refinancing to a conventional loan, or should I explore other options?

The only way to lose the game is to run out of cash.

I've been losing sleep over this!

China is natural resource poor and dependent on the rest of the world to fill that void, and with cheap labor drying up they will lose some ground on the manufacturing side. 

That 'other' land trust company absolutely blew it on the closing process causing us all to lose some hair during that period, but we did exit the deal with a great profit.  

I didn't get into investing to break even or lose money... 

Unfortunately we won't have the space for wooden stairs, without losing out on the parking spaces.
