Not to hijack your post @Kevin H. but what would you veterans suggest as a good area for a newbie?

Advertising property on eBay is expensive since the price is based on the length of the posting, as well as the selling price of the property, not to mention additional fees are charged for uploaded photographs or additional information.

I'm an Army veteran who has now jumped head first into R.E. investing/wholesales.

If they actually have capacity to transact.. but if they do .. someone like you a  veteran commercial broker is really all they need..

I would purchase a triplex or fourplex with a veterans loan (which I qualify for) then live in one unit and rent out the others.

Try to find a photographer that does Airbnbs.

He and I are both members of the Trust Vets business network (we're both Navy veterans).  

All the real estate veterans say that a good deal will find the financing but to me it makes sense to be prepared and to start laying a solid foundation by lining up potential private lenders/investment partners to ensure you can get to closing and cross that finish line.
