If you have an attic, even easier, just open one or two bays and continue the supply and return to the attic and then feed the rooms as necessary from the attic through the ceiling.

I appreciate that he noticed the issue but, it wasn't a condenser that supplied that unit with cooling.. it was repaired as soon as I got the notice but guess what... -1 month of subsidized rent.

. ;-) Whether millenials own currently or not does not change the supply or demand of housing. 100% (or close to obviously there are homeless) in fact live in housing.
