If doing new construction and flooring is going to be replaced I plastic over windows and call someone to spray it.

Evidence of moisture on some of the walls including under a window well.

Seemed to occur when the sunlight was beating in the window. 

If the windows are old single pane windows then definately update to energy efficient double pane windows.

In order to get the absolute most square feet they could possible afford, they took the cheapest options the builder offered for windows, HVAC, plumbing, an lighting  {The builders's higher end options were nothing to write home about, from an energy efficiency point of view, either}.    

The only place you find window units here are in low end and war zone properties.

So far for Energy efficiency this year:Blocked the fireplace mostly - not perfect for sure.Put that plastic they sell to go over the windowsCaulked one window that was leaking pretty badly.Put insulation in one of my attic access areas.Only thing left on my list is one more attic access area.Hoping I can write some of this off using US 2014 energy tax incentives.

I have run it through the calculator a few times but im still not certain. heres the infoSmall 570sq ft single family home 2 bedrooms 1 full bathroom recently renovated new kitchen cupboards, flooring appliances, fresh paint, upgraded windows and siding, new shingles on the roof. it also has a completely fresh slate in the basement ready for any reno i want. single detached garage nice yard and close to town walking distance to everything.
