Good evening BP members,I just wanted to know what type of things do you all do to stand out in your competitive market.I live in Dallas and all I hear is that there is a lot of competition which in turn instills fear in me because I am over here thinking " How am I even going to land my first deal with so much competition?!"

I am hopeful the gap will be more filled as the  fear of massive student loans push youngsters into tradeschools amd the workforce more and the stigma subsides as you contractors spread the word at career days👍

Do the math, look at the valuations, and then I bet that "being scared" will turn into something even scarier:  The fear of missing out.Adding some bench strength and expertise will help you decide faster if this is really something you want to do or if this is really just another job.

My fear in doing so is that getting into something now with as much equity or at today's values will NOT be easy (probably worth about $600k, mortgage at about $200k) and we will end up selling off half of what MIGHT be our entire retirement!
