My recommendation is to speak with a loan officer that understands both products in detail - not many loan officers will be fluent in both of these products so get recommendations and read reviews.  

Please note that you will only able to deduct to the extent of your business mileage so it is important to keep track of your business & personal mileage if you use the car for both.

You might be able to get a list of Section 8 landlords from your local Housing Authority office.

He has a proven track record.

So besides visiting every real estate office & dropping off a flyer and trying to meet w/agents directly (& offering your services for near free), can you do anything about pigeons?

@Corby GoadeThanks for the input.Other than having a track record of  buying and holding multiple properties, how else can you convince a lender that you can deliver?

Either way you are on the right track and house hacking is a fantastic way to get started.

Our issue with the bigger players is how interested would they be in a smaller leasing opportunity vs the massive office buildings they typically get. 

Your local office makes or breaks the deal.
