Yes a contract is an offer, acceptance and consideration (and some other stuff which is assumed like mental competence of the parties etc.)

We've kept tenants when it doesn't make financial sense, you have to follow your gut and mentally write if off as charity if need be.Are there programs she qualifies for and isn't tapping into to help her money go farther?

If you will experience less stress and a better mental state by reducing your debt, then, unless investing the savings produces returns a horse length or two ahead of the savings from paying down your mortgage principal, paying down the mortgage might be the better solution for you.Roy - WOW - interest "a=it today's dollars"...?!?!
