What I find disconcerting is we're starting to discuss the possibility of a shutdown extending into an indefinite future.California had this problem a few years ago (its state constitution specifies a deadline the legislature must meet, but has no penalty for missing the deadline).

Also the financing was from a bank and we've already got 18 months of interest only payments, so that option is kind of out, although I could see if they would extend my original line of credit.
