The math works out online and tenants already live in these buildings so I know they are liveable; that said, I have not visited the homes or made contact with the sellers.

I currently lean toward upstate NY and MI (Detroit metro) as I live in the west but have family in Canada not far from those locations and the idea of being able to visit family with trips that can double as business write-offs is appealing.

(It’s worth the furniture if you want it.)Think of it this way. 1)Lots of cities ar banning STR, o requiring you live in the house while it’s being rented out, or limiting you to a few months.
