Should I run away and just stick with my bank, although poor customer service, is nationally recognized?

I now work for a high-end custom home builder in Highland Park, University Park and Preston Hollow.

The house is in a community that does not have a high volume of potential customers; therefore, a serious customer could be far and in between.

So for those of you reading and not participating here is the mistake I made I encourage you not to...Mistake #1I assumed that my bank offered FHA loans so I went online and filled out the application to see what I could be approved for and after they put a hard credit inquiry on my credit report I found out they don't offer FHA loans.Can only assume I will make many more mistakes along the way, thank god for BiggerPockets to help reduce them!

Customized contracts are a nice accessory but dont let them hold you back.

You like the brands they carry and so do your customers.

I dont say this to discourage you, but to encourage you to hunt in many areas.What I have been able to do is leverage a few personal friendships with realtors to get connected with seller before the house even hits MLS.

I, for one, would encourage you to find a good school and pursue a degree - you won't regret the accomplishment!

The effective outcome is the same, but with more flexibility retained by you.Also, when it comes time to look at placing a mortgage, I strongly encourage you to look at a variable rate, fixed term product.
