Obviously someone can sue for anything and it is a pain even if you are right and win. 

Kyle Penland Pools up here are seen as a liability as much, or more, than they would be a sought after feature - the cost of winterizing and maintenance makes them a royal pain, especially since there are several very good public pools in the area.I would never have one at a rental ... nor in my own yard.

The pain of the hardships in this business is temporary, the pain of going back to work for 'the man' would last too long for me to endure.You are certainly right about one thing, Ben...when getting knocked down it gets harder to get back up each time.

I feel like a lack of 3 prong outlets is impractical for modern life and fuse boxes are a pain to deal with.

Talking with a new neighbor, who just got a similar home 1 block away a few weeks ago, his appraisal came at 260k.They went and talk with the bank with both appraisals and the bank told them that the appraisers usually give a low ball when a refinance happens to protect the bank's interest, but when is a new purchase they look at the value market.  

And companies like Block and Marcus and Millichap offer good info, although some of them cost money.
