hello this is my first post I live in Richmond va I want to invest in small multi family 2-4units my ?

im getting out of the military with a decent amount of money in the bank account. planning on starting with a duplex investment and renting out the other side . i wanted to learn more about the VA loan process . also i am repairing my credit score from a irresponsible past. is a VA loan my best bet to start investing?

I'm leaning more towards multi family although there doesn't appear to be such a large market in the DMV (DC, MD, VA) area for smaller assets (2-6 units).Thank you in advance for any feedback!

I am in the process of renovating a house in Hampton, VA and we are adding a dormer to the second floor roof and my contractor decided to open the roof and frame out the dormer this week.
