With the attorneys address as our mailing address which is located in Utah and I live in CA.I am having problems with finding a good National bank that can handle this set up.

@Matthew Paul Hi, inspectors certified by a national acredited association do know enough and the majority are ex contractors that stay busy in the field after selling their business.

My question is as a member of the national guard, can I acquire a multifamily property with fair credit?

I bring to the table Gorilla marketing which successfully brought my company national attention and ought to keep your properties leased. 

Most of the large national banks won't.

Anybody find that to be possible or have recommendations on local/national lenders that would do that?

Hey @Carl GraffI'm certainly no insurance-wiz, but my understanding is similair to yours in that most will use cost to rebuild as the basis for your premium.My guess as to why you're having trouble finding info online is that I think it's nearly impossible to give a blanket assumption to be used on a $/sqft basis nationally, and even locally I think you'll find challenges (the only difference location makes in the cost-based evaluation is the price of labor, for the most part, and does not address the issue of failing to account for different quality finishings/condition/upgrades). 

There is a national company that has a product called a "Life Changer Loan", and you can get that product on any property you own.
