If appliances aren’t walking off you could walk into a flood or a fire or something else.

We just went through and repainted, updated a few light fixtures and replaced countertops and appliances.

I can then say go ahead, let’s do something else instead (like replace a broken appliance instead of fixing it), asking them to get another quote from a backup vendor, or saying I will get a quote on my own from someone else.
