With that in mind, it still seems like buying a better house or one at a lower price point in a recession is the right move since lower price point means lower mortage, PITI, etc in a world where rents would not be hit as much in a recession.But, you're right I cannot predict the future, so if I think rental market is strong, that is a case for acting now rather than waiting for something unknown ahead.

But if you're running your own sun contractors I prefer to do the roofing and gutters first then the siding while the interior demo is taking place so I can use the same dumpsters to get rid of everything instead of being charged a haul away fee or getting multiple dumpsters.The scopes of work should be done during the closing process in order stay ahead of the game.

So, deed-in-lieu, foreclosure, a short sale, or findinging a buyer and maybe having the borrower bring money to the table at all options.In my case that's coming to a head as we speak, deed-in-lieu or a foreclosure are the best options.
