i can speak for hamilton county ohio now..... if you go to the county auditors web site you will be able to search by street address, name etc...

Patrick,In addition to the resources on this site, you can also search in the foreclosure forum.

You can enter keywords in the search function and focus in on certain investment strategies, etc.

You may have to search around a bit to find a title company to do the transaction.

Do some searches and buy some books would be my first suggestion to you.After that, the only way to truly learn is to get some experience.

That's a good place to start.I don't know of any free software either, but you can search this site as there are members that provide spreadsheets they use to do their analysis.I use a software called Landlord's Cashflow Analyzer.

You could ask the Realtor you mentioned, to run you a "sold search" for the area, and maybe even other areas where similar new home subdivisions have been selling.

I've done a search on the internet (4 hr search) and have found a PDF with ALL the HardMoney Portfolio Lenders per state.
