I wasn’t available because of business travel once and demands at other property the other time.During the signing they brought up that my wife mentioned that if they were to perform some snow shoveling duties they may be able to receive a break on rent.

I'd give them a few days to get back to you and see if something actually came up (car accident, death in the family, etc.) or if they just got cold feet.Technically they still have until the 24th to perform, but I'd make them eat any extra costs from the botched closing if they were part of the scheduling.
