Is that standard practice to have to do this, or am I missing a trick or a different loan type similar to a HELOC?

I'm sure the answer is "it depends" but in general, do people that operate medium-term rentals tend to find a better response from a unit that looks pretty or a unit that might have some more perks while someone is there for a short time?

Section 8 can be very profitable, but it's not smart as a first investment or a one-off because there is a lot more red tape.
