I have been lurking on BP, listening to BP podcasts when I run, cook, drive, etc. reading a lot (Millionaire Real Estate Investory and HOLD so far, looking for my next book, so recommendations are welcome), and spending way too much time on Zillow, CraigsList, and the county tax assessor's website :)  We are working with an agent and have looked at 10-12 properties so far , put an offer on one but it wasn't accepted.  

So I do have a couple properties in southern cook county which is close to being a south suburb of chicago.

Although a cook county eviction always worries me. :-)I think the thing that eases the stress levels of this is simply time.

When I used to look at foreclosures, it often shocked me at how ridiculously high the houses were incorrectly valued (by the county and city, in my case), yet no one had gotten them reduced.
