I hate to have to say this, but many of those in this business aren't as ethical as the rest of us.- If you know that there was structural or other complex work done on the property, make a point to verify that the repairs were actually successful.

Hi Justin,The portion of the property that has been used as the taxpayer's primary residence should qualify for the tax-free exclusion of up to $250,000 if single and $500,000 if married pursuant to Section 121 of the Internal Revenue Code.I'm not sure about the rest of the property.

So based on that idea, when the loan prepays (pays to zero prior to maturity) "the rest" of your capital investment is returned to you.
