I now work from home for a private company that sells to Rockwell (think 4 Hour Work Week by Tim Ferris) and enjoy working on my real passion, real estate investing.As for the market, Rockwell is a huge factor because it's the largest private employer in the state and it is doing well.

I own one right by a functional railroad, it's a deal breaker for some but it still rents.

If there are community events (i.e. yard sales, bake sales, school functions, etc), you may want to utilize these avenues and participate in them.By being active in your community, you're able to market yourself and be seen but you also get to know others there as well.
