Hello all you smart people......I have been a stay at home mom (my husband works a 7-5 government job) and commercial real estate investor for the last 20 years. 

Florida has shown their government will literally ban short term rentals so we are scared.I am wary of taking a government loan and have read a lot of conflicting information.

The key point to me is that if people and a supportive, control oriented local government are grumpy about STRs now, where are they headed in the future??

It seems that the rest of them that got trapped into the idea that they had to go to College and do it on Government Loans, may get a Bail Out with Tax Payer money from the new Administration.

But like I said, my strategy is to find large projects with confirmed momentum and investment from large groups (companies/governments etc) and look for other property developers investing in those areas.

This is very unhealthy so the government is now investing elsewhere now and Punta Cana is pretty much done anyway, as the path of progress pretty much has run its course there.That's not my main problem with Punta Cana though.
