On the other duplex the water was leaking on the outside.

Condos can work but you have to watch the condo association fee closely and read the condo docs and meeting minutes.

For repairs left, I have to rebuild the stairs going into the basement and get them carpeted, the 35-year-old furnace is running but I will need to replace it this summer, my water heater looks very corroded and is leaking on the bottom.... so that will need to be replaced in the near future.

It's like putting gas into a car with a leak in the bottom.

The seller was just going off tax docs and didnt look up anything that sold recently.

Something that would have cost $150 to fix in the beginning could turn into a leaking $2,000 in no time.

Later I found out PM hired an unlicensed landscaper and he was rude on the phone and did not fix the leaking valve.
