I would rather know that my assets were locked up and discourage lawsuits vice encouraging them because not only to I have a ton of assets but a great big insurance policy to target as well.

Unfortunately you won't know until you try it.I would encourage you to read (or listen...

There's a lot of learning opportunities on BiggerPockets, and I'd encourage you to explore all of the different sections. 

It took me longer to complete and I missed the personal interactions. 

Because there is somebody who holds them accountable, who encourages, gives advice, shares wisdom and when needed kicks them in the *** - repeatedly.For some of us the money we have spent on education, training and resources is not enough of a motivator.
