Plus we just had a baby girl 4 months ago so speaking with a financial advisor about how to set ourselves and our daughter Alice up for the future has pushed us head first into getting into RE.

I would grab it when it’s available, and hold on to it in case it’s needed.

You can grab a 70k property in a decent C class area and cash flow every month even during a downturn!

I’m looking to grab something in the city if I can, but does anyone have recommendations of up and coming neighborhoods outside of the city that may be more cost effective/does anyone recommend trying to wait the market out?

If you said you wanted to get a new truck because the girl down the street thinks trucks are awesome, so you are going to drop $50k on one to impress this girl, my answer would sound like my dad when I was teenager: "get your priorities straight...".  

In the meantime, I would get some dehumidifiers and place them in the house to grab some of the moisture.

Find people with a growth mindset and find good people that aren’t just going to money grab your commissions.

Would I need to refinance that FHA loan first, or would it be as simple as just moving out and grabbing that second home with the VA loan?
