I'm doing a knowledge gathering trip to Pittsburgh May 15 - May 18th (with the intention to purchase an STR) and I'm looking to connect with investors and professionals in the area. 

I have since made two trips to AZ and one to FL (returning again next week). 

Her net profit per door is $400+ a month.My suggestions if you are looking to invest virtually with buy and hold:Preferably choose a market you are somehow familiar with or have boots on the ground there that can help you - real estate agent, friend or family member;Once you choose the area, take a trip to get familiar and get a feeling for what type of properties you will be investing in and have an agent show you around.

Out of state investors:If you were available for one trip to view a property in person you're buying out of town, and hired a home inspector,  would you make the trip during the inspection period or the final walk through? 

Sometimes I feel like renting one of those Buses that pass through  Bulevard east and Bline and take them all on a field trip...just to show them how short of a commute it is.

Don't trip over dollars counting pennies.Not mentioned is this thread is the added liability you have as a license agent.
