So I think my question is two fold:a) When in the process do you start engaging a contractor?

Either socially or to invest*   I feel 'safe' in terms of land value, appreciation, and over all rental and sales demand when you're in a geographically limited area. 

The full scope of activities the business will engage in (across multiple states) are as follows:Putting together and managing syndicated commercial (5+ unit) multi-family deals as a/the general partnerOpportunistic fix and flips of single family and 2-4 unit multi-family residential buildingsTax lien investingBuy, reheb, and hold long-term rentalsThe business will be operated out of Chicago, IL and I will initially be the sole employee.

The sale includes the seller's company website, company social media accounts, company for rent signs, and a small amount of construction equipment used for maintenance.
