It would be easy for the CPA to see who you bought and sold to, rather than all the services you might be expensing on a rental property.

I happened to start learning about private equity funds, stakeholder capitalism, and the housing crisis last week and also started getting more active on the BP forums.I posted about struggling with finding investors for syndication and got some good comments about why this is the case for many syndicators right now.One comment referred to something about FEMA flood insurance rate maps and that rang a bell in my head about a random old piece of land I got a few years ago when I was heavily into tax deed auctions in Florida.

But I found the customer service from ABNB to be poor whereas VRBO was generally very good.Just my .02...

@Kathy Kifer  my deciding factor would be what the one month booking is for, will it likely extend, and are you seeing any activity in your area that just isn't booking your unit.     

I would advise listening to the Bigger Pockets podcast, tons of educational content in there.Send some deals my way if you find them in the Memphis area, I'm an active investor here.

The Midwest seems to be the theme when it comes to cash flow and I also believe it holds a ton of potential for appreciation if you do it right.I now have 14-doors in Detroit and I stay extremely active in the market outside my own investing.

To use as a 3 family, there would have  had to be a use permit issued and a rental license active within the last 3 years.

I'm actively looking for an investment property to use as a short term rental.
