They do have the higher monthly fee (and I wouldn't by a condo with an unreasonable fee), they don't go up in value as much as a single family, on poorly run ones (not stratford) you run the risk of a special assesment.

I recently foudn a good lender with an asset based product in the 75% LTV (30% noncourse for IRA, non-US resident etc) 6.75-7.5% range, 10-30 year terms (it does depend on the specific properties and which investor might buy the loan so he can't give you a quote without more info) and VERY IMPORTANTLY 30 DAY FUNDING!
