The biggest takeaway is that this is the way I want to be involved in real estate - building custom homes as the owner, AE, GC and labor.

In the interim, by maintaining a proper Contractor/Owner relationship with appropriate contract and being listed as additional insured under the contractor's policy, you are better protected.  

It shows how dishonest American businesses are compared to other countries.I never met a business owner who stuck with the PPC advertising with the exception of some nationwide franchises.

I don't know what residents are thinking sometimes but I don't think they realize owners pay a mortgage and maintenance.

From my experience (in NY) most sellers are opposed to seller/owner finance deals, rent-to-own, and other creative deals.
