@Sarah Klein I will mirror others that you need to confirm with your own local laws. 

You still need to confirm employment, salary, previous landlord recommendation, etc.

You may be able to offer more than a lowball, but you will want to confirm the numbers even more.

So yeah, I was trying to absolutely confirm that I’d be able to sell the property before I had paid off the debt in order to pay off the debt.
