Some accountants wont go outside what turbotax tells them, when in reality your tax is based upon your facts, and your specific way of conducting business may be more advantaged tax wise rather then a cookie cutter aproach.

If you are conducting business outside of TX these tax codes and laws could be different.

And to what Robert said, I think I needan engineer and foundation company to come out and check it for me.When I conducted a rough rehab cost of the house I roundedthe foundation estimate up to $8,000 from the agent’s quote of $7,200. 

In Iowa, the lien sale is conducted thru the County Treasurer offices.  

Make sure your RE agent conducts a Capital Gains study prior to your sale.
