I've also had to clean up a Web server that somebody broke into. 

I would recommend just searching the web "how to file an LLC" and pick the highest ranking and most reputable site.

Most of the GIS available to investors is through free web applications and county GIS pages, but these are incredibly lite versions of the software (ESRI) used in our industry.

I've also found that while two different counties may use the same software - they may not have the same features enabled.I've found that a Google search for "<county name> appraisal district" will often get you to the right county web site.
