Q: If a person does not have the personal and financial management skills to come up with a modest down payment (be it 5% or 20%), what are the odds they will have the personal management and financial skills to make their investment a success (maintaining the property, tenant relationships, all the bills, contractors, etc.)...A: For me, the odds are very slim that someone who has not yet been able to develop these skills and habits (and credit) will be a success.

Every one of the units that were for people in wheelchairs had the lower cabinet countertops, wider doors, ramps if necessary, either a large space to wheel into for a shower or one of those side panel opening tubs, lower sinks in bathrooms, some had assistance swing arms for using the toilet (not everyone of the tenants required this feature and was quite expensive to order and maintain), washer and dryers that were spaced just slight to allow someone in a wheel chair access to both when both doors were open.

Inside, I really like the current open concept, but think a pony wall (Image 4) between the two patio doors can create illusion of separation between front entrance and the patio door, and separate the entrance hallway from the kitchen while maintaining the open concept.
