@January Johnson - I don't disagree with any of your points, I'm not a STR specialist so I defer to your expertise.

It would take much, much longer.In commercial real estate you have to spend money to make money and pay for specialized knowledge and expertise. 

I've been investing for over two years myself and it's my expertise when it comes to tax matters.
