just didn't want to hold any longer as the benefit assessment fee is too much at 2400/yr. so I immediately agreed to the offer of 35000 at which I could make about 300 net return after all cost..Haha

It's called a Progressive Tax System for a reason.My opinion is that those investing money and taking the risk of losing it should be treated more 'special' than the common W-2 worker, who has no real skin in the game.

Or worse, if there is a disaster and the owner calls his insurance company to get money for the problem and the insurance company comes out to assess the building and finds that there is a STR being run, then denies coverage.
