Although each investor's time in the spotlight ends, literally opening the door for the next generation to shine, maybe the near term solution is not always to liquidate the asset? 

Getting a contractor to look it is an option but many are cookie cutter solutions and you may be disappointed or in shock from the quote. 

Many of the mistakes made were avoidable if only the investor had followed some basic solutions prior to committing to the purchase.
