Properties that simply suffer from defects, sagging roof or heated with gas wall heaters or suffer from functional issues can be changed to meet lending requirements, but only if the buyer is aware of such issues and can afford to make the repairs.New buyers consideraing SF should seriously consider getting an appraisal and making the deal subject to appraisal!

I have not had a property in a hurricane zone, but I can certainly see where a PM could be held liable if there was no effort made to protect the property which is a major function of the PM.

Well, in all reality, its a 60+ year old house with full-on soft asbestos siding (which has been deteriorated at the bottom edge in some places, but still 100% functional and certainly not going to rot) and a double layer of asphalt shingles.
