I'm not sure if they are just bored, or if they are sadistic or if they just got their first cell phone, but you will get a lot of people that ask you that before they ask you about the house.The problem is, you have to have a reason that your sign says, "I'm desperate".

I don't use the pay services that will track cell phones, but I do use whitepages.com, radaris.com (but I think they just changed to an everything costs money thing, yp.com whitepages to find land-lines or "listed" cell phones.  

Choose which ever works best for you.

In New Hampshire, a landlord who owns more than six units can ask for no more than one month's rent or $100, whichever is larger, as a security deposit.

I would ask them to document that for me and text me pictures on their cell phone.  

Here in WV the Landlord has to notify tenant within 30 or 60 days (which ever the lease states) How much of the deposit is being returned and an itemized list of what was deducted from it.You should have saved yourself $600.

I don't know about those programs/apps, but I use Skype and it's set up to forward to my cell phone.
