My goal is to build a substantial portfolio, aiming for two more houses by the end of the year and continuing.As a newcomer to Detroit, I am seeking your insights on the best areas to invest in.

What I am seeing around with occupancy is two facets, the legal IRS/fannie mae/freddie mac rules and also the intent.

I have also seen new developments with detached duplexes or the equivalent of two houses on the same plot completely separate.

Evictions happen it’s normal and you should learn about them and expect one or two at some point.8.

Between the two I would prefer HW.....but that's just my unbiased opinion.

My fiancé is an interior designer and recently furnished two out of state client STR's for rental.

There are two properties we have looked at this week, see the below descriptions:Property #1: 3 bedroom upper unit with a 1 bedroom Basement apartment in a great neighborhood with a metro stop a few blocks away.

A day or two one way or another shouldn’t be a big deal.

I am not sure if it warrants another post but is it advisable to start an LLC for the two properties I purchase or put them in a trust?
