@Eddie T., that's a great idea.

but hadnt been touched since...so the stucco has these disgusting seashell designs on it....The kitchen cabinets,although in good shape,are very dated also...and the windows are double glazed,but they are the original windows from the 70's it looks like.we are both low on money and could probably just afford to fix it up to the standard matt wants to.But what I am trying to convince him to do,is to rent the house out for the winter and save the income from rent (we own the house right out so have no mortgage) then come back to it next summer when we have the rental money and money we have saved and using that money,-put siding on the house.

The reason being it was easier to manage quarterly tax payments and we are still afforded the ability to defer income via a 401K plan we have within the companies. 

She could barely afford to pay rent in the beginning what she gonna do pay a lawyer????? 

Worse case, T-sheet it (pros on one side of the page, cons on the other and when you run out of things to write go with the side that has the most on it!

When my daughter went to VCU, I was not able to find anything affordable that would cash flow and believe it is still like that.

We want a 4 plex to make it affordable . 

Thus far we don;t yet have a solid enough core to organize a video link or Skype option.

It is even more unfortunate for those who can't afford such.
