I have the perspective that a lot of real estate is situational, where a range of what is appropriate will fit the need and the result.

Also, note that I am pretty young, have a god/stable income from my primary job and great credit.So I have a few questions on how I should think about executing this from a timeline perspective and also ask what you would do in this situation?

Im just entertaining the idea right now anything i would want to buy would have to make sense from an STR and LTR perspective which maybe cant be done but ill research it anyway.

My understanding of the tax changes indicate that it shouldn't matter from a tax perspective. 

Funny thing, as @Michael Weir said, HSV natives will consider it a different area but from my out of town perspective, it was very convenient to get to.
