How much growth is left specifically?

Things I have been looking for is population growth, rise in sales prices, days on market, rental prices, economic development that may be coming to that area or the perimeter of the area that could cause a higher than average appreciation.Anyone want to chime in on other indicators that they look for?

For my part, saving over a 3-5 year period before my next RE purchase, a time frame which I consider meets a minimum time horizon for a 'long-term' investment, I invest monthly cash flows with a dollar cost averaging mentality into a mix of stock market index funds, growth stock mutual funds, and ETFs.
