That area is next to a healthcare hub, there is Kings County Hospital, Downstate Medical Center, Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center and Brookdale Hospital.

My BAH will be 1100 so not much from what you describe and I am taking a big hit on BAH coming from California.

That just doesn't happen in nice areas often.For example I was looking at Clear Lake, CA.

I have a small park in Clearlake Ca and the last park owned unit I have would sell as is for about 20k, I will put 10-15k into it and sell it for 120-130k. 30-40% of the tenants in the park have renovated their units as well.

If you put yourself in the rational consumer’s shoes, you would consider the total cost of each of the following housing options:A) a monthly mortgage payment + utilities + insurance + taxes on a single family home that you buyB) a monthly rental payment + utilities on a 3 bedroom single family home that you rent C) a monthly rental payment + lot rent + utilities on a 3 bedroom mobile home rental that you rent D) a monthly mortgage payment + lot rent + utilities + insurance + taxes on a 3 bedroom mobile home that you own (own the home and rent the land)A deal breaker for me is a situation where there’s <$200 spread between options A/B and C/D.  

Yes its a PITA to move in in/out, but not worth the battle for saying no to a pretty basic request.The majority of CA rentals don't supply a refrig..... just stove, dishwasher etc.... not even washer/dryer....some do, but a larger % don't in general.

Oregon being one  CA  NV etc..
