You can use an FHA loan to live in one unit and rent the others for up to 4 total.

While I've typically focused on single-family homes, my journey into real estate began with buying my first house using a VA loan and house hacking it, then acquiring additional properties from there.

Like I said in another response to this thread a really good TC will have a hand full of top producer be worth their weight in gold and make a VERY nice living for an in home job that comes to you with little to no over head..

You would not be able to access additional cash beyond what was borrowed.The other scenario worked similarly, you can't borrow beyond the cash you paid.

@Conrad Legé In addition to what others have said, I would call the listing agents of the pending listings that you are trying to use as comps.
