As I bounce around from one idea to the next, I was wondering if anyone in the community has been successful with starting up a short term business in the Dominican Republic?

I am looking for any tools or tips to get started, I have been in vehicles sales for over ten years and was a mortgage banker at Rocket Mortgage for 3 years before coming back to manage the dealership I started my career at.

Running the numbers yourself will give you the number that works.

If the tenant makes sense, the rent is there, and it all works for the particular property, I'll go with S8.But I'm not the type to turn down a well qualified cash paying tenant simply because I only want S8.

@Harsh Poshti  You do need to check with the local zoning office. 

If family lives in the main home and friends stay for free in the garage, the property remains a primary residence, but there’s no rental income or tax benefits.
