Or, get the kind of meters that can be wired to a box on the outside of the house (or otherwise in a better spot), and the handheld device you need to plug in to the box or talk to it on the radio, to read the meter.If the building was "born" as apartments, it's fairly likely that each apartment has its own individual water pipe.

They should merely be providing you their best options available for your needs and not attempting to influence your decision making.If your goal is to expand your portfolio, as good as having that additional cash flow sounds, it completely counteracts the option to grow as it will significantly impact the cash you have on hand for future down payments.A HELOC or home equity loan is a cool arrow to have in your quiver, but with rates on those products being higher than almost any conventional loan at this point, I would use it sparingly.

We don't really have much information about your portfolio so I think it's rather audacious for us to assume anything and make such bold suggestions or recommendations...We don't even know about your equity position, the rent rates, how much your property manager is charging, what type of financing (if any) you have on the properties, your overall strategy and really much else about why your properties are performing as such.The fact the you have 5 properties and you have positive cash flow is pretty cool to me!
