Unfortunately the money I saved up from my last deployment got burned up from a poor choice of mine that I made before, and actually put me into debt.

@Rosaria I have been burned so many times and lied to, I do pre screen over the phone and also check their social media.

It's been said condos are really easy to buy and devilishly hard to sell.I've done four condo deals in my entire 20-year real estate career (I'm a slow learner, apparently), and I've gotten burned every single time.Just sayin'.

Or is it something like property capex where it comes due at point or another but you may just get burned alive one year? 

If you're going to burn the ships and go all in NOW, then maybe paying the penalty makes sense for you.

Assuming appreciation will bump the value up in x amount of years is speculation that takes you out of control of your investment and leaves you vulnerable to get burned. 

I’ve seen it too many times that people get sick of their rentals or get burned trying to flip houses. 

But if my numbers are accurate and you overpay for a property you crash and burn.

Previous owner didn't have a good grasp on how gravity works and removed it so he could throw wood down to the basement where he had a wood burning stove.
